Okanagan Engagement and Wedding Photographer

just you two

Engagement photos are a way to slow down and enjoy each other before wedding planning takes over. It's relaxed and I'm there to guide you.

We'll pick a spot that feels special to you, whether that's the beach in Kelowna, an orchard in Vernon, or a trail near Salmon Arm. It's a nice way to practice getting comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding.

kind words from
"Marissa made us both feel comfortable and not awkward in front of the camera. I was worried I wouldn't know how to pose, but she made it so easy and the photos turned out great! I can't recommend her enough."

FAQ

What should we wear?

I keep it simple with the 3 C's: Comfort, Climate, and Colours!

Comfort: Wear something you feel good in. Photos are so much more fun when you're not worrying about an itchy sweater.
Climate: Dress for the weather. Think light and breezy for a hot summer evening, or boots and a cozy jacket in the fall.
Colours: Neutral, solid colours photograph best. Skip busy patterns (like gingham or thin stripes) and big logos.

When will we get our photos?

You'll get an online gallery with all of your photos within 3 weeks of your session. From there you can download them, share them with family, pick your favourites, and post them wherever you like!

Where are you based and do you travel?

I'm based in Kelowna and love shooting all over the Okanagan, from Vernon to Salmon Arm and everywhere in between. There's no shortage of beautiful spots out here.

I also have roots in Vancouver and get back there at least once a year. If your session is outside of the Okanagan, send me the details and I'll send you a clear quote for the time and travel involved.
